Blaze: Learning together to be a global disciple

29.4.2025 | Congregational Life, Children, Youth and Family,

blaze-logo-final-02.jpgWho is Blaze?

Blaze the Bee helps children and families in congregations right across PCI explore how God is at work in the world and what it means for them to be a global disciple, doing what they can to play their part in God’s global mission.

This includes learning about, and praying for, global mission workers, God’s church around the world and a Christian approach to big issues like creation care.

Each congregation has been provided with a Blaze character (cuddly toy) for use in children’s addresses and other activities such as Sunday school or uniformed organisations. You will know best where Blaze fits and will have most impact in the particular shape of your congregation’s children’s ministry.

2025 Blaze Prayer Calendar

This year the Blaze calendar offers a monthly way of encouraging children, families and the whole congregation to think about how they can pray for different countries in which PCI has partners and friends in ministry and mission.

  • A downloadable calendar is available below to distribute to everyone in your congregation.
  • Up to date prayer points for each country will be shared each month on PCI’s social media channels and on this webpage.
  • PowerPoint slides to use in children’s addresses or all-age slots in church are available for download.

“I will bring these people to my holy mountain. I will give them joy in my house of prayer … This is because my Temple will be called a house of prayer for people from all nations” Isaiah 56:7 (ICB)
